1. Which databases are compatible with smartASK?
   

   smartASK is available in two editions. For a list of databases supported by edition, see features & benefits. For a full list of supported databases including version numbers, see technical requirements.
   
   

2. How large is the smartASK application?
   

   smartASK is approximately 9 megabytes. In addition, you'll need space for the data from your surveys.
   
   

3. I don't have a database yet. What do you recommend?
   

   We recommend PostgreSQL or Oracle.
   
   

4. I don't have a servlet engine yet. What do you recommend?
   

   smartASK is intended to work with any Java Servlet 2.2 or J2EE container. The Resin servlet engine is recommended for general use. For higher load needs, the IBM WebSphere Application Server is recommended, and optimizations are available for using smartASK with IBM WebSphere Application Server 4.0. Other servlet engines include WebLogic, Tomcat, and JRun.
